A group of dental assistant students from Northwest Technical College in Bemidji came to school today to teach us about dental health. We heard a story, practiced brushing and flossing, and got to see some dental tools a dentist uses. Each student received a tube of toothpaste, a toothbrush and a package of floss to take home.
Louie the Leprechaun has been hiding all week and the kiddos have had a blast trying to find him. Today he hid a pot of gold and we had to go on a treasure hunt all over the school to find it. We had to read and solve clues, melt green ice cubes, talk to teachers, find a secret locker and finally put a puzzle together to find the final treasure!
Today we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with a Muffins in the Morning event. Parents came in to read with their children and enjoy a muffin. Throughout the day we had mystery readers appearing at our door to share a story. We also did a reading challenge to see how many Accelerated Reader points we could earn in one hour.
